sounds like u will go to a lot of trouble to have a dd that wheels on the weekend, the sierra will not compare to your land boat!!

i would go a old vitara if u intend to mod it so much anyway and u could have the dd comfort, i have always wanted to convert a 4door to a softtop / 5 days of comfort and 2 days of open top wheeling!!

just my opinion!!

Depends on how far you drive per week, I have a 100 Series 1HZ and I bought my zook as a DD as I live 35kms from work the fuel savings will cover all running costs and repay the zook in 2 years. Now the cruiser is the tourer for holidays away with the family and there when I NEED to leave the zook at home, as it is at the moment with bent springs and transfer mount.

Just by the zook and wheel it, it'll be cheaper then a couple of lockers for the Patrol. Rego is only $500 (a couple of tyres for the Patrol) and insurance is $100 (one tank of Patrol juice). It'll pay for itself in no time and you'll be a lot less stressed driving it.
