Yer well he's Scottish so I wouldnt just allow him to wonder around willynilly though. You know there weird.
Swag = canvas one man tent that rolls up and usually bounces around the back of utes.
We keep all ours in the garden shed an havent seen one single spider yet when we've gone to use them. Maybe they dont like our smell
Have'nt had any moisture problems either cos we have'nt had any rain for 50 million years!

check bom.gov.au today, theres some thing weird happening, moisture is falling from sky
Most of our camping gear lives in our camper trailer. The rest lives on the shelves in the garage. In fact all of it used to live on the shelves before the camper arrived. Never had any moisture or insect problems.
Insects taken care of by the bug man doing his thing and moisture just isn't a problem.

I have tried that since you posted it ( nearly a year ago ). I had buckets of salt, but the dampness still wrecked my tent, my saddle, -- generaly mould on everything.
Ive been using some I got at bunnings. Brand is KiTab. they are rectangular with straight sides, ie not tapered top to bottom, and have a fairly small rim on them so you dont end up with wasted space coz of the shape.
you can get with/without lids, but lids dont clip on. few different sizes to choose from.
Fairly strong and reasonable price too

black 100 litre plastic boxes with lids that can be removed or left on as one side turns into a hinge, Also has a place for padlocks to lock the box up.
From Bunnings and seen them at super crap as well $28-$30 cheap as.
Super stong keep all my gear in them just lable the side and grab the box i need, Great seat to when camping.
