So are these things avaliable to the general public yet ?
If so what do they cost ? and who do I send $$ to get a set ?

Trail-Gear is in the process of setting up an exclusive dealer in Australia. It will be up to this dealer to set retail prices in country. We now have a huge number of production right hand drive steering arms now in stock. Once we things are finalized with the new dealer they will be offering the new High Steer arms as their first product.

Thats great (well not really I wanted to do the steering ASAP while my tax cheque is burning a hole in my pocket :oops: )

i should know this, but i dont.

do these arms only fit lux or some cruiser also, i need arms for my 40 and i think i remember being told the stud pattern is different.

They Are now available from the TG website.

Unfortunately i couldnt bring them in because of bloody insurance reasons so best will be to get from TG.

Mate they do fit the cruisers 60-40s but you need to remember that the arms come with an 80 series taper for the tie rod ends so you would need to make new drag link and tie rod to suit them.

Here in the USA, LC's up to 1978 had the smaller pattern for the studs. All Toyota solid axles here in the USA received the larger stud/pattern in 1979.

These arms do require the larger, later style stud pattern. The arms are drilled for the FJ80 style rod ends.

Or use a hilux rodends/tierods or draglinks which has the same taper, but not the 23mm thread
