As Sparky said we used a safari cast manifold and a 400 hp rated Garrett ball bearing turbo ( cant remember pt no, can look it up if you want) and it was over 30 degrees in the dyno cell when we were running it.
It was also done on 35" bfgs and running standard ( 4.1:1 ) diff ratios.
This truck is fairly simple and has more development left in it so we might have a better figure soon. A cooler day would have helped a fair bit but you don't always get ideal conditions.
The torque being in Newtons is a pain but to give you a comparison a standard factory turbo TD42 may post around the 2500 Newtons mark.
what sort of boost is needed to get these figures?

Blows chafe like a diesel.
From what I know. Its a std Factory turbo motor. With a new turbo and intercooler fitted. Anyone want the orginal, its still sitting on my spare room floor and its for sale. It also has a modded injector pump, 4" inlet with toyota aircleaner.
do go on $?? how much

7-8 grand if you include the new clutch I needed.
Would be more if done in a shop.

dyno results

Ok,

My motor had
garret bb GT30 Hybrid Turbo
Custom Exhaust manifold
Custom ARE Water Air intercooler and Inlet Manifold Plenum (For Sale PM if interested)
Big $$$$ Injector Pump
Head just had the ports cleaned up,
Crow Double Valve springs
Shot peened rod,
HPC coated Pistons and Exhaust manifold, Dump Pipe.
3.5" Exhaust with 3.5" Dump pipe and scavenger pipe.
4" Air box and Snorkel

It ran between 25-35psi Boost, Exhaust never got over 500 deg could never get enought fuel in the motor. The motor never ran hot could hold it flat all day long no issues at all (except fule consumption) PWR Radiator and a extra port in the back of the head.

The motor had 185000km on it. It was never balance but would rev to 5000rpm Injector pump was limited at 5500rpm.
We never finished tuning the motor completely and think that we could have got to 300rwhp on diesel only.

Any other question just ask.
Cheers Heath

I believe he killed it? could be thinkin of a different GU..

engine

I had an experiment ( My and Mates design) Water/Methanol system on the engine at the outback.

One of the injectors stuck open and was spraying a jet of methanol that should have been atomizied. This in turn melt a hole in the top of number 3 piston. Cracked the head etc. Which in turn junked the exhaust wheel on the turbo.

So i want more power so am putting a V8 and auto into it.

Cheers Heath.

spend 15-20k on the donk, then the turbo and Water to air intercooler system... was a real great job, shame the piston shit itself...
