good things come to all that wait, so we are waiting, but we are quietly confident. Should have a date soon.

May be next Toperi you will get more than 10m into the track and get some penalities just to give someone else a crack at best drive.

when we decided on best drive we simply went thought the final results and picked the driver with the lest penalties, but we didn't consider the driver with the lest penalties also didn't have "red hot go" :D :D :D

I gave it a "red hot go" it's a just a shame that chromoly CV's can't handle my ultimate driving style!!!! ( and the fact i didn't have a winch, didn't help much either )
if it has tit's, wheels or a motor you better have money

This is a great idea . Mainly because most full bodied truck drivers are sick of competing against buggies dressed up as trucks . If you continue to let the buggies enter then make a separate class for them.

There will be some changes that WILL make the more standard cars compete with the top cars, but they are still always going to do it faster. But points will be much more even.

There will be no night event this year for everyone, just a dash for cash early in the evening for the 5 teams that are running 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th after the first 2 stages.

Overall our rules will be much the same, if it aint broke dont fix it.

i really liked the night stage last year. could see pretty much all of the course from where i was, a good mix of logs, rocks, holes and mud. although i really liked watching the stage on the sunday aswell.
tell us more about this dash for cash, why only those teams??

I agree it was a great course. BUT. Spectator numbers were down last year, I imagine viewing that course would become quite difficult with more spectators.

Having said that, It was a great course, I hope the organisers can find a use for it!

Just polished off the Toperi DVD and it's now up on the site.

I have to say it was one of the best events I've filmed (or seen for that matter). Great tracks, heaps of action, terrific weather and the night-time stage was really good.

A big well done to Tony and the Canobolas club. It is well worth the drive out to Orange to see the event, so make sure you get out there next year.

The DVD is now available to order from my site here and the photo gallery is still available here.

The DVD should also be available at the usual stores next week or so. I'll send them out to the stores as soon as they get their orders in.

Watch a preview clip here on YouTube, make sure you click the "Watch in high quality" link at the bottom right of the video window, otherwise the picture quality is pretty bad.

The night stage was too big a day for us, we started at 6am and didnt get finished until near midnight. The course will get used again, just in a different layout.

The dash for cash will be a quick bit of excitement for everyone before a social evening. By choosing those 5 teams it eliminates the top 3 teams and no one will know who is in for the grab at the cash until maybe 1-2 hours before it happens. It might be Stage 1 in reverse or something along those lines.

I am still sending e-mails to find out about the rego issue, would be good if we didnt need it.
