Direct quote off Northside... Check page 7 or 8 for the original

You need better material for the crank if you stroke it,the stresses on it are tremendous once you start spinning it with big heavy pistons, throw lots of boost and fuel at it then take it all out at one end with big sticky tyres.
Aren't the Brian Crower 4.8 cranks 4340?
I'm sure you could buy the raw forging.

TB48 -Reverse firing order , allready looked at these
too much to change , camshaft and injector lines to find out its
not a good thing , Stick to what we know!

And yes a TB48 crankshaft fits in a td42 block and swings , i have
also checked this aswell

as for photo's i have none of the crankshaft we are getting built
and it will be a 16 week build time for it .... cant wait!

They said "we will make it strong as if for tractor pull" ,and we are
making mine from 300m material rather then 4340

so i have optioned for the strong rather then knife edge and
lightened , we will be only turning them to 5500-5800 max anyway

I understand that I have not been as active on outerlimits4x4.com as I have been previously, primarily due to being force to part with my short wheel base GQ nissan patrol. I have, however, been actively watching this most amusing topic and I have let out many a chortle. Admittedly my interests were first drawn to the thread due to the fact that I have an amateur interest in aspects pertaining to TD42 performance. As some of the older member of this internet based public forum may recall in 2006 I was the first person in StringyBark Ave Wauchope to fit a garett ball bearing turbo onto a SWB TD42 diesel, using nothing but a set of 'Best Buy' shifting wrenches that I purchased from Super Cheap auto. But a lot has changed since then and in particular the performance that can be drawn from the humble and robust TD42 'the dinosaur'.

tl:dr

My appendage is 12" in length if I measure it erect with the ruler placed underneath my knacker bag, I also ejaculate pure concentrated balls of awesome. My dad has a helicopter.

ps: northside 4x4 --- I <3 U and your trucks could drive the the 3rd layer of gravity.

you guys want direct injection then get a bd30 head it bolts on a td27. opps you guys have to many cylinders. But on a serious note the bd30 pistons will work nicely if you did a direct injection td42 some how

We already worked that out with the ZD30.

You will need a four valve head to work with the ZD pistons.

ok. the bd25 and the bd30 pistons are a bolt in for the 2valve engine. I was looking to put a bd30 head on my engine so I have a direct injection engine. This thread come up in a search was I was researching some stuff about it
