Looks fantastic Dave...

where'd you get the grille from? I'd have said the lights are from eBay, which I've never seen in a pic on a vehicle before.... some LED's like this eBay link would really set the indicators off... :-)

Any chance of a front-on pic of the grille?

did the Lightforces cop it when you hit the roo, or are they temporarily off the car?

Cheers,

Andrew

Thanks for that ! I am in the process of obtaining a quote from the same place...can I ask how much you paid for your bull bar ?I have been quoted $1395 + paint and I am hoping to drive the price down if I can...the wife is seeing money come out of my pocket and none of it returning to her !!!
I can only get a single rear carrier.apparently the supplier does not supply the duals anymore!...so I can get the rear bar for $690 + paint without trying to bargain down yet.

Hey john, my Bullbar is from Thailand, and i paid $890+paint that was a year ago. I belive he imports from China now. So double check the quality and compare them against ARB, TJM. With my Bullbar i had a few issuse with the mounting, all sorted now.

So here comes the big question, I've seen the new luxes and i like em but what are your overall thoughts?

Are they worth the money?

Are they good off-road?

Are they as good the old ones?

Post up your comments cause i'm saving hard for a new ute and want to know what you new owners think.

Hmmm post it!!

I found out that you were lucky to get a good price because the Manufacturer gave them big discounts early on to help out their buisness but have since jacked up the price significantly. The bullbars are still made in Thailand but the rear bars are being imported from China now and the Sales Guy said that they usually just need a little more support and extra mountings to ensure a good fit (They usually do this but I would have to do it myself being from Melbourne) Hopefully they come up with some good discounts to offset the freight involved and I can go ahead with the purchase. By the way was your rear bar damaged ???why did you not put it back on ?

Hey John, the rear bar is off because i don't need it around town.
Very easy to put back on, just unbolt rear step and tow bar, the wheel carrier uses the same mounting points, plug the wireing harness in and she is good to go.

I'm building a custom hard tonneau cover for the Lux.

I need a few pics to try and sort out some of the finer details.

Could anyone maybe post some pics for me please?

I'm interested in the seals around the roll bar and the latches at the back to lock it down.

Any help would be great.

thanks

Thanks KaMo

Lid looks good, i was going to do a similar thing but decided to go for fibreglass.
Can anyone with a 05-06 model post some pics of how the latches are positioned and how they attach to the tub? I'm guessing there must be bolt holes down the back but since I've got a liner in the tub i can't see without pulling it all out.

thanks

troy

G'Day All,

I recognise allot of these Trucks from NewHilux.net, I just registered so I thought I would post a reply.

My question is to "toymad80", I want to get the Dobinsons kit for my car, maybe next month. I have a dual cab V6 as well - check http://www.newhilux.net/rides.php?id=81

I would like to know what you think about the kit, how much it lifts the car font and rear, what springs did you choose, etc?

I have been told good stories about Dobinsons equipment.

Thanks allot
Carl

"B": Is the clutch a bad design ?

I pulled this grain feeder for 6km's from a neighbours property.
Hopefully it didn't wear out the new clutch.
