Of course the mud run was changed on Saturday, they pumped a gazillion litres of water into it. This in itself changed the course. As most would know, a semi dry mudhole is usually harder to drive than wet runny one. Thick claggy mud sticks, whereas thin runny mud runs off. As for the big hump at the 10 point mark, Glen Dobbin did change the course heaps at that point.

As a matter of interest, the Frame Twister was definately changed through the course of the event. Sunday morning, after someone on 49's got stuck on the first tyres, then the next couple of entrants didnt even get up onto the tyres, the excavator was brought in to push dirt into the holes. They then did allow those competitors who didnt make it have a second attempt.

I agree with the notion that the courses should be allowed to get better, or deteriorate, as the event goes along, with no modification during the event. That is the luck of the draw.

However, this is not the issue I have. No more need be said.

Ive already added my 2 cents worth. My husband and I (both stage managers of Rocky Horror, A & D, Travel ramp) loved how everything went.

I think the crowd was better behaved this year, it looked more family orientated by the amount of kids running around. I cant honestly say if we had more or less people there but I know we sold a hella lot more day passes than the previous year.

Apart form the usual idiots (who can ruin a great thing for everyone) I believe this year was bigger and better. Who knows how next years going to turn out like...

sorry but i have to say this..


as for luck of the draw in mud run, pigs arse.. from the last truck on friday night (mog on 42s,rear steer etc) having trouble getting through the first section which claimed everyone to the first car on saturday night (germos red suzuki on 37 mtrs, basically the stockest car in the field) driving through like it was a maccas carpark the difference in the track was obvious to everyone...

whether the organisers did this for the crowds sake, as friday night really turned into a debacle as they made the track basically impassable, what should have been done was after the first three cars couldnt make it through on friday the track should have been amended and the first cars run through again...

i hardly see how it was fair for the first cars on friday night who were basically put out of the competition by being at least 90 points behind most of those on Saturday..

not only this there were also a lot of discrepancies brought up with regards to penalties on cones etc on certain stages.....

i love tuff truck as yes it is the best of the best but i went home from this one with a stale taste in my mouth at some of the shoddy things that went on...

tuff truck organisers need to ensure that these little things are learnt from to help improve the event next time..

i just thought of two things that gave me the shits.

1. Way to many marshalls as usual. (mainly on the travel ramp, right infront of the truck going up, but also on other stages too)

2. compeditors using ramps!!

I.E. that full body rangie!! :roll: :roll:

well what happened to the mound that beebee flopped on....he ran after dobbin remember...it mysteriously disappeared.

hey i am only saying what everyone was saying in the crowd....i hope it wasnt true that anything was changed and i dont blame them for doing it, the crowd was looking for blood on Friday night...

they just need to remember the little guys who compete..there is more than just 3 or 4 cars who enter and these guys deserve a fair shot too...

i guess it just adds more fuel to the fire that mud is the biggest waste of time in an event as it is too unpredictable and not really a fair indication...

I know 2 went on while I was waiting to see screwy do the ramp event, and the one at fris mud run I missed due to waiting for jess as I was goig to head back wiht her & her family.. most of which alsmo missed it due to jess talking to crew... it's all good though.. is always next year

yeah what the f is that about. Also Dobbins little adjustable chock. may as well carry a jackhammer and smash the rocs into smaller peices.

Was an awsum event good tracks good feild of competitors.Must thank Paully and his Family for letting me drive his truck and there Hospitality. :armsup:

My Only gripe for the weekend was the dickheads in the crowd.After Completing the Frame twister we were ging to have a crack at the bonus line but on exiting the frame twister we broke the oill filter of the engine .The Marshals said that if we could get it fixed within the 15 minutes for the next vehicle running then we coukd have a go. The damage sustained was more than we thought as we had broken the filter housing as well.Anyway we got it alll fixed bit it was tooo late as the time was up and they were holding the Heart break ridge course open for us. So The marshalls said we couldn.t have a crack at the bonus . On the way out to the next course we were called nearly every name you could think of that wassn't flattering. So to those dickheads get off your pissed arses and have a go yourselfs then we will see who the Poofters,Wankers,Scardicats and F!!!!witts are.

Glen Dobbins score in the mud event was -10 that put us 130 point behind Pete and Mick.As for the corse being changed I think Glen was the only one to do any serious changes to the corse as that before Glen only Phill in the black GU made it throught but after DOZZER(Glens trucks new name)had a shot at it more trucks made it through.Thats just the way it was .But what an exellent comp can't wait for next year.
