trailer deck will be 8m and it will be running tri axles..will fit two buggies on there nicely...then we just need to modify the old F350 at work to carry a buggy on the back and then we have a three buggy transporter with three seats in the front for 6 blokes :D ...

Dave Sam may have forgotten but the gearbox is RS in that F350. It defianatly wont make it to Vic and back with 3 buggies on it. I doubt it would even do it empty.

we wont be using the old skool F350 for this trip Tony as we only need to take two down, but in future it would prob be a good thing to have...damn...that means even more work if the gearbox is RS..

2 Buggies - semi stacked onto each other...
One most of the time unless the 2nd buggies owner can tow about 500Kg of gear otherwise it will be overweight.

Mate looks like you've caught the Yank bugg off the RV/mobile appartment block  mind you l think its a great idea. reminds me of the V8 super car transporters l used to make @ TITAN TRAILERS , but l bet yours dont cost $300,000 + keep up the good work. BTW what are you skinning it with??????. May l recommend FRP (fibreglass reinforced panel) great product .

Has been built for 0.8mm Alloy ( White Panel )
FRP is a bit too expensive from my research & does not handle the flex required for an Offroadable 5th Wheel Trailer. ( I may be wrong ) But its too late now...
I think when I spoke with a few FRP Guys there thoughts of offroad might have been the local graded dirt road or a flat paddock.
This monstrosity is set 500mm off the ground to the main rail. So it is way bigger than I even realise.
It should handle places like landcruiser park. Bathurst etc. ( providing I take the Chainsaw with me). Hopefully the Ford will be up to it...
Fully loaded it should only be about 1/2-3/4 Ton heavier than when I tow my 40 Series...
I'll post more pic's soon. I'm nearly finished designing my remote hitch lift.

A Jim Beam Hot Tub was talked about. ( as long as Crystal from BB comes with it ) :)
But then I would have to be a spectator as it would be "Top heavy" for sure ;) ...

The Ford is an Auto. But has had plenty $pent on it, so it should last for a bit longer yet. It has a billet convertor & HD Clutches, shift kit bla bla bla...

I know of a few F trucks that pull 5th wheel horse floats around NONE stop. Every 2nd weekend they are off with between 4 and 6 tonne in the float (depends on how many horses they take). They do horse events all over australia and also fly over seas about every other weekend for horse events.
They have had the odd drama here and there with fuel or electrics but I haven`t heard of them having auto problems ever. They are now on their 3rd and 4th F truck as they change them over about every 300,000kms.

If anybody knows pegasus horse floats in Melbourne (just behind cheezy`s old shop) the F truck they have is one of their old ones.

Bally the F'y will pull it fine and you`ll love the way to whole thing will drive. What sort of ball coupling are you using? the old ball bolted to the floor of the tub? Can also use a turn table like a semi but setup up side down so the turn table is on the trailer and not the truck. Then the truck just has a pin on it that can be folded down out of the way when not in use.
