Rules fix everything but limit what you can do and who can do it, from memory Logan stop visitors and even other clubs from coming on their night runs a few years ago and there was up roar over it.
This is the one reason Caboolture club stopped non members doing Hard rated trips until they have done the clubs driver training, we are one of the few clubs that have the Assn driver training package being delivered.
Clubs have insurance to cover a third party (people) if they get injured and not vehicle or their operator, that's why you should have insurance for your vehicle.
Clubs are there to help you and support you in your learning, hope you come out the other side of this a wise man, but don't let it stop you enjoying this recreational activity.

Clap clap... Gold Coast doesn't allow general public at all.. full stop... members of other affiliated clubs can come along as a visitor, but other clubs have different set-ups for running their trips. Wew found this out at the Corroborree we ran. Some things we had to allow that we normally don't. Just making a point regarding public and even other clubs joining in on the fun. Once you do this, controlling things becomes a lot harder.
