Ok what sort of amenities do we want, toilets obviously, showers? Who was used before anyone got contacts?
Also need a contact for milbradale to check what dates are good for them.
Anyone that went to the first want to fill me in on details of the last so I know where to head with this one.
Thanks Nik

Rocks,Titty girls,Bar,Titty girls,Rocks,bar,and extra Titty girls.
If you are only doing it over a weekend I wouldn't worry too much about Showers and shit. Everyone will be there just to go wheeling and will survive with out having a shower for one night.

toilets, yes. let the individuals worry about there own showers if need be. don't worry about the titty girls for me ( i want my wife to come ). as said if its just for a weekend most people should be able to fend for themselves as far as food, drinks showers?,
but a hot dog stand would be nice

Ok Ive spoke to people that were at the 1st and it wasnt as big as I hoped so hopefuly over time we can start somthing BIG.
So as this is just the 2nd it will end up a "gathering of friends" for insurance reasons if thats ok with others?
Ive only seen the place in tuff truck mode so Im hoping to get down there very soon to see whats drivable buy full bodied rigs. Im hoping it will become a family thing so I want to make sure there are tracks for all to enjoy whatever level your at.
I agree I can go without a shower (others mighten) and it would keep cost down aswell.
So whos keen? Ideas?

keep it simple.....
one rented porta loo (on a trailer type)
everyone is to sort out there own food/grog and hygiene
what ever you bring in, you take out....... no rubish to be left behind
have a entery fee to cover the loo, insureance(if covered) and some cash for the property owner

insurance?? isn't that what your green slip is for. if its a gathering of friend and not a comp why would you need insurance. an entry fee may effect this so perhaps a mandatory donation box would be a way to sneak through. this is assuming your talking regoed rigs

the first one had both regoed and non regoed rigs and the odd buggy
everyone just looked after them self regards to food, grog etc etc etc,
yes the property owner does hav a fee for using the property, (the amount escapes me at present).
i like the idea of some merchandise, ie caps, shirts etc,
(il do some research and get some prices for the smallest qty as im doing the NEWY CREW shirts this year).
as it is just a group of mates i dont think insurance would be an issue, HOWEVER, from memory, once the event becomes public and people are charged an admission fee, it then becomes a comp, thus needing insurance, so the mandatory donation, is a top idea.
they tracks up at milbrodale vary from stock to F!%KING NUTS
hope this helps, or anything else need clearing up from the first one?

Thanks Pyrotech, not sure if merchandise would make it an event?? But if you were just buying stuff for mates that were going to fix you up as it would be pre ordered?
I think they paid the land owner $20 pp last time anyone know how to contact them?

tru, i agree, if the shirts where ordred and paid for prior to the event, and then just handed out, then it wouldnt be an issue.
and yea it was $20 or $30 PP
sorry, i dont have a contact tho

as for the insurance, i was thinking of public liability,
theres allways some idiot that hurts themselfs and then wants to sue someone.
if not insured, get everyone to sign a wavier

well, we will just have to make sure they get really injured,;) and then put them under some rocks... they cant sue then... Justa thought

just go careful with waivers ... legal advice i've been given with a previous event i organised is that while a waiver can be signed to take care of the risk of someone doing something stupid (eg deciding to bungie jump off a cliff without bungy rope) it will not remove your liability as the organiser for damage / injury occuring as the result of negligence.
so if for example someone slips over on an unstable rock, hits their head and goes to hospital, it is highly possible (and completely stupid) that they may be able to successfully sue the event organiser for their negligence in not ensuring that the stable-looking rock was not unstable.

Yes this is what I/we need to find out? Not sure what kind of numbers we can get away with saying its a gathering of mates as when we get a bit more organised Id like to post it on other sites too.
as for merchandise I cant do all that funky stuff you do but maybe pic of a zuk with zukicrawl 08?? And from memory plain lettered stickers are alot cheaper so maybe just zukicrawl 08 again??
When we getan idea maybe Pyro can take it to his friend to get an idea of $ then have it pre paid so that no one is out of pocket?
Anyone have contacts for a portaloo?

Dont do prepaid as no one pays up and you have to chase them pay on the day is better

Posted: Fri Mar 14, 2008 7:09 pm

I think pre paid would be easier cause how many say they will turn up but dont then some one is out of pocket for unsold merchandise.
I dont want to put people off just trying to get things to run smoothly.

there is a guy in on here in the misc stuff (siggie) that is doing stickers. maybe talk to him about getting some made up for people. do a pack that pays the park and you get. stickers, shirt and stubbie cooler or some thing like that if you are sure you'll there.
