Just a quick one on the colour mate.
Im a spray painter and panel beater by trade. What ever colour you decide on, being a comp truck, i suggest you buy another couple extra litres of the same batch.
As long as you have exactly the same paint you will be able to hard edge repairs - basically you can repaint your guard and the colour wont look out to the door and bonnet etc.
You need a solid or 2K or Lacquer in 2 pack. (that all means the same thing)
That means it has 2 to 3 coats max of one colour and its done.
With metallics you need COB - Clear Over Base. Meaning a base coat of just colour and thinner goes on to get coverage ( which in lighter colours and pearls can be up to 5 coats) then 2 to 3 coats of clear. MUCH MORE COSTLY, harder to repair.
Keep in mind that your reds and yellows and oranges have a high concentrate of OXIDE in the tinters that go into making the colours. SO basically you know the old red commodores and falcons, how they go all chalky and milkyish ? Thats the oxide breaking down, which happens when they are outside all day.
You can prep your solid colours easier, which means a fnal sand of p600 wet or 400 dry depending on the paint system and they hide dents a lot more, ( like the old black car showing every little imperfection scenario)
There is just a few pointers, im happy to help with any paint and panel queries.

Easy. Auscam colours. Full on camoflauge. Same as you see all the Australian Army vehicles painted. I have the actuall paint from an Army depot here if your interested PM me. Its a large can of the olive green and a small can of matt black and the brown. And the best part about it is its all matt finish which means touch ups are as easy as they can get! Just spray over the scratches and wait for it to dry, no seams no nothing. It blends naturally so you dont even have to be neat!
