He told me 12grand total the other day for the 2 axles. Although not sure if that was installed or just a kit.

Sam, but that is for the complete axles with lockers isn't it???

So assuming it is in kit form, that is $12k - minus $4000 that it would normally cost for 2 locker kits (without upgraded CV's) which leaves $8000 total. Which is what RUFF quoted.

OUCH!!! - so does that include the inner axles??? The front portal boxes will bolt straight on but surely you need shorter inner axles to bolt the rear on???

To my understanding it includes everything needed to make it work.

If the front should bolt straight on why wont the rears?? Same drive flange setup as the front??

You need different CV's, hence different halfshafts front, and I think in the rear as well. It is my understanding too that the needed shafts are included.

Mal told me (a while ago) that the front uses std RR (10 spline) CV's as the components before the portal box don't see enough torque to break these. If this is still the case - then the front portals will be made to bolt on with a 10 spline stub shaft to go into the CV. The rears on the other hand have the axles/halfshafts sticking out past where the portal box wants to sit, so need to be shortened.

For those that want to know..I was talking to Mal about a week ago. The portals start at 10k for for portals and axles only (no rotors, calipers etc). For the complete setup, lockers, portals, ratio's, calipers and rotors etc around 22k.

So who wants to sell the HOUSE!!! :D

They do still only use the 10 spline CV's however you can have whatever you want, all depends on how BIG that house is.

Out of all the sets sold OS, he has never had a problem, even on the first set which only had 3 gears in them 'or something like that'.

Ben

Ry has traked down the Land rover reduction hubs,

He said that they were made for the Ag rovers and they only made 8 vehicles, they are also chain driven, so you might be pushing s$%t up hill to get some
