What year? 2 - 4 door? What parts are ya keepin and how much?
89 4door vouge glass leci roof leci windows central locking when it works it has custom tube winch bar 9500lb winch 35" maxxis creepys glass flares injected 3.5 zf4 speed gq front and 80 series rear diffs tow bar stainless 3" snorkel plenty of dents couple of colours to choose from
no carpet spotties 2.5" mandrel bend exhaust extractors uhf and a kick arse stereo.
If someone comes up with a good enough offer it is all theres but if not i want the winch tyres stereo in order of preference.
THE ONLY THING THAT IS DEFINATELY COMING OFF NO MATTER WHAT IS THE R3DN3K NUMBER PLATES.
I also have a 3.9 that is not that old that needs bearings done
and also 5 speed and borgwarner transfer which were original fittment. to go with.
the lot looking at round $4k mark and work from there i guess.

Given them some serious abuse to date without issues running 36" bogger type tyres. The truck is not used on the road so the vibration issue associated with offet rear diff and self-shortened prop-shafts is not an issue. For a road vehicle I would either go for Yota 80 rear or try and move the troll rear diff a bit and have custom props made. In any case I now have 4.11 axles, very stron driveshafts and diffs, good brakes, a locker in the rear and all for about half the price of a single ARB diff-lock!

My experience is a bit different in that we have Jac Mac axles and centres with Nissan GQ CVs, pegged 4.11 Ashcroft crown wheel and pinion, 35 inch Simex.
Recently stuck in a big hole, back and forth, full noise repeatedly, on full lock this way and that (stupid really, but fun) a LH CV (14months old, genuine NTN) gave way. On extraction the centre of the CV had completely destroyed itself but the bell was fine. Axle OK, with a couple of spline scores only.
So, I think the weak link is the GQ CV, which is good because I was able to bodge up another up from some 60 series Yota CVs (which are essentially the same cept the bell is not as thick), and I was initally worries the CWP had let go, or the centre......

Hey guys, been a while since ive posted anything,
Is there any reason as to why more people just dont use the 80 diffs front and rear? rather than having the gq front, which i know is a strong unit but the ground clearance would come in handy yes?
the 80s do have a smaller pumpkin that the patrols dont they??

The 80 front diff is just a hilux diff, no as strong as the rear or the gq front.

i was pretty sure that the 80 and hilux diffs are different, arent the hilux front diffs just rears that have been turned around and flipped or something, which then puts the drive force on the wrong side of the gears?
This why i make mention of the "high pinion" in the 80s, which is driving on the right side of the gears. I couldnt tell you about 60s though, But from what ive been told the reason the 80s are different is that toyota obviously worried about the extra grunt of the 80s motors, hence the new diff, not worried in the hiluxs cause of the fully sik 2.8 non turbo diesel

I am pretty sure that the 75 and 80 front diffs are the same and my 75 has a hilux rear diff for the front diff, all part numbers match. Toyota changed to this in about 92.
The 60 and early 75 had the same big front diff, same centre as the rear.
Not sure about the high pinion.

Patrol front diffs are high pinion, but they have a larger crown wheel and pinion than 80's.

Correct.
But driving forward can not load a front diff as much as in reverse - then you are loading the weak side of the teeth, so not as strong as hilux in reverse. 100's are worse because they are 4.3:1 and probably have more weight on the front (so loaded higher).

I doubt that reasoning (the worried about extra grunt of the 80's part).
IMHO 60's have a stronger front than 80's, so they went backward in strength.
What they needed was clearance for the tie rod when they went to front coils. Hence high pinion. And the strength of the hilux size c.w. in h.pinion was ok for normal use. But only marginal.
