My name is Dave and I'm from WA. I have a 92 Jackaroo with a 3.1 TD. So far its pretty much stock as I've only had it a couple of weeks, So far it has got a new CD/MP3 player, CB, and a set of Rallye 4000 FF Compact Spotties.

Image Image

Planning to fit new shocks, snorkel, air compressor, front locker and homemade rear shelf/draws.

It drives great, good on fuel. its done 400,000kms and the engine 75,000 (water pump failure killed the old one) no problems so far.

Hi everyone im from denmark WA just purchased my xs 93 jackaroo today. 3.1d turbo intercooled stock standard at the moment but im thinking 3 inch springs nd squezen some 32s under those guards  . haha i think i got a nice contrast...wit my new jack for comfort on the beach nd long trips nd my 84 sierra for the more hardcore stuff. 2 cars aint bad for a 16yo

im gona make some rock sliders/side steps
sump guard
and try protect the cv's a bit better

and then im gona enjoy...

hello all

I am new to this site and have read previous posts in the forum before signing up when we started rebuilding our 1988 jackaroo engine.

I thank members here as some posts have been very helpful.

If I knew how to upload photos to this forum I would post pic's of our beast who looks very sad at the moment in pieces

I joined this site as we are now stuck with this rebuild and We are tired of receiving responses from mechanics in the real world of our local area who shy, cringe or ark up when the word Jackaroo is mentioned.

nice to meet you all :)

Hi all,

Been a while since I've been here. Sorry for the lack of imagination with the new username. :D Actually only just sold the Jackaroo Shorty (see page one). Definitely came close to shedding a tear when the Jack drove out the driveway... Was such an awesome 4x4!

All good things come to an end though and you will be happy to know that I have remained with the Isuzu team. Just over a year ago I purchased a new 2008 3.0tdi Single Cab Rodeo 4x4. Very good and reliable it has been so far too. No extreme mods at this stage - just canopy, bullbar, spotties etc. First mod will be a 50mm suspension lift. Not aiming to modify to the extent of the Jack but who knows??

Cheers,

Noel

Hi Folks,
My name`s Dave, I`m from England, UK
I currently have 3 Frontera`s.
The first is standard 2.8 Diesel turbo, the second is standard 2.2 petrol with LPG conversion. My third one(which is poorly at the moment) is a `B` series frontera 2.2DTi, this one has the folllowing modifications;
3" body and 3" suspension lift, ARB difflocks front and rear, 285/75-16" Good Year MTR tyres, rock sliders, front Hydraulic winch, rear electric winch, twinned fuel tanks for veggie oil user, snorkle.

May I say this site looks very technical.
