Apparently this is the best way to setup the front of a GQ with Superflex arms so I recommend it.

Yeah, realise this, but I would want to match it to the superior drop boxes, and can't see the point in buying a set if you only need one.......

From the feedback we have been getting the 1 standard height superflex arm combined with drop boxes are working extremely well giving the vehicle excellent on road driving with the benefit of the extra flex.
We have been selling them for $650 for the one arm , drop boxes are $400 but if a customer was looking at purchasing both we would do a better price.
I will try and post them in our products page through the week.
Combined kit with one super flex arm and 2 drop boxes will be $990.00 either 4-5 inch or 6-7 inch lifts

I'm looking at the drop box option mainly so I can get the weight down a little for bringing back to NZ on the plane.
Is there a 3" arm/box combo available, or could I run the 4-5" arm/box on a 3-3 1/2" lift?

I don't know if it has been done yet but I am quite confident that you would be fine. There is no 3" lift drop box flex arm combo, your castor will just be out the other way. Others are using the drop boxes with the 3" lift.

Thanks Shane.

What are the effects of castor the other way? I'm guessing it's no worse than running the boxes on a 4" lift that has sagged an inch (unless mine has sagged an inch too  )

Do you have the arm and boxes in stock? I'm still trying to confirm the airline will accept them as excess luggage

Boxes are in stock but I will have to chat to Mick to see if Superior has the arm in stock. Shoot me an email well in advance so I do have it in stock when you come, nothing worse then coming over and not going home with it.

im one of those using drop boxes on a now sagging 3" lift.

drives fine. Skittish but thats because ive basically trashed the front end and need to spend money on it fixing it up. :P slack balljoints and stuffed rubbers everywhere. Still finding things filled with that lovely glasshouse mud.

are your front shocks limiting the flex?

They do limit the fllex. It has tough dogs to suit 6 inch lift and maxes them out.

Will do one better for ya, I live in Blenheim, so will let you know when I'm down your way next, and you can check it out in person if you like.

I'm just rolling up and checking it in as luggage on the day as we are allowed 40kg between us, so we will be spot on with the weight. Just means I miss out on the Pro Comps, so will have to settle for the OME L series

Will look at taking a set of drop boxes in our carry on luggage too

I think we will find some very tired castor bushes, most probably torn. I use to get better front flex with my Rangie, the damaged bushes works wonders. :P

no they are still like new , i used the slotted gu bushes which make a huge difference , although i dont expect them to last as long as solid rubber ones

Well, I never compared beforehand, but this is with the standard flex arm/drop box setup. Shocks were limiting the travel. Running OME L series.
