Oh, I don't know about that. If it's her birthday, sounds like you could be up for a bit of "indoor".........

thanks for putting on the run mandy

started out with thor and ben (after pushing the 83lux around the carpark 5 times to get it to start :x ), checkpoint 1 was an easy drop into a waterhole, checkpoint 2 had 3 optional climbs, we took the hard line and got it first time :) , then it was on to checkpoint 3, pete was on this one and it was a choice between 3 different routes, we took the medium one which seemed the most popular of the night.
on the way to checkpoint 4 was a choice of 3 different climbs, we went to the hard end one, got halfway up, and i stalled it :x , usually no drama's but my starter had no power to it whatsoever, wouldn't even click in and out. so, got some bloke in a patrol to drag me up the hill and mangaged to roll start it. then we were off to checkpoint 4, this one was another set of 3 climbs, first up tried the hard line, gave it about 5 goes, but it was just too muddy (the mongrels ripped the shiat outta the hill) so had to back down and do the medium run.
then it was off to checkpoint 5 where basketcase was running the show. this one had about 5-6 different runs, we had two goes at one of the end ones (medium rating i think) and ended up in a retarded position stuck in a rut, had to back out and use my back tyre to bounce off a tree.
between checkpoint 5-6 we got lost, but got on the uhf and figured it out eventually. found checkpoint 6 but didn't give it a go cause i was worried about my battery and didn't know how much longer it'd last.
so we bailed following 83lux, who managed to nearly roll his lux over in a mudhole  on the way out

thats about it for my night, was a good run cept for my starter.........but you wouldn't believe it, soon as i got home, stopped the car, hit it again and it fired perfectly, and hasn't given any drama's since.......so don't know wtf was up with it, am thinkin that the shitty little battery couldnt keep up with running the spotties + highbeams and stereo + UHF all at the one time, so think its time for an upgrade.

Also at CP 5,Wes's zuk caught fire while he was doing one of the hills, wasn't that a dilemma,Basketcase went to go up the hill to see if they needed a hand and ended up putting his car is a bad sideways position half way up so backed down and decided to wait for them to come down.

I want to say thank you to all of those who helped out last night on CP's and at the start as well.
This was the first run that I have put on and now I have a great appreciation for how much is involved in organising a run.

Good work Mandy you put on a good run.

Wes said he s putting the new motor this week. Lucky!

Only three competitors tried my check point and only one made it up and that was Chris Ierssel to help Wes out. Antt gave it good shot and got about 3/4 of the way up on the same hill as Chris Ierssel. Chris Wood tried a couple of tracks but only chewed up the mud.

I am going to put on a run soon. Spent the night sitting by myself on CP5 thinking about that and what I am going to do with my car.

Thor-It was CP 3 (pete's) that Wes had to recover you from.

He was going up the side you reversed down and then jumep back on the left side just before the top where the roots are.

haha yeah i decided to go the left one after the puddle, and didn't keep left at the top and whoopsies was soon on an angle like in dans avatar. my nav spent the time waiting for wes finding a good spot to brace himself for a roll.
dan, have no idea what happened getting to CP 5.. sort of didn't see the left at arrow and just cruised right into CP6 somehow. sorry i missed ya buddy!

The main thing is that everyone had fun and no real carnage happened,we've all had our cars on very bad angles at some stage and you have to get used to it cos it happens a bit if you do a run at night when it's being raining since 4am that morning.Definately made the night interesting.

Basketcase- I thought the funniest thing you said on the uhf was-'Do you have someone there with you on your CP,that's not fair I'm by myself-I hear footsteps!!!!!I'm serious there's something heavy walking around here.'
