did you read my post about three above yours

Not really - because the springs are still clamped in place by the u-bolts. They will splay a little bit but not to the point that it is ever a problem.
nicbeer wrote:Last one: If you take the overload spring out, does this lower the springs as in lower lift?
no - but over time the main leafs will be able to settle and you will end up with a flatter spring = lower car = more functional car

You can end up shearing the centrebolt like this though so you are better off keeping the clips if possible ..

Also if the springs fan out too much you tend to catch them on obstacles and brake lines. Better to keep the clips just bend them open

Did you think this through? if your brake lines are that long i think you would have other problems too

With the "standard rear main leaf" Is this a lifted pack or using the std flat springs.
Has anybody got any pics of the what the spring clamps look like when "opened up". With the clamps taken off, doesn't that allow the springs to move sideways, stressing the springs?

Thanks
do a search i have said many time what length the feroza's are and how easy they are to put in
i used standard spring packs to make the RUF springs
go and have a look at your spring pack and i think u will get what we mean buy openin the clamps
dont cut them off!
if u take the overload leaf out it will not affect how much lift you get (SUA config) but SOA u will lose lift (thickness of overloaf leaf)
hope it helps
