Haha ... shhhhhh, that's meant to stay under wraps! No idea who cruises these forums.....

Gotta say the satin black looks pretty nice after the first coat. Will give it another coat tonight but it'll have to sit until I get back from Adelaide then. Got more done on the RUF last night too and took it out for some test flexing (no shocks) - Auszookers build thread

The metal tabs each side of the XGTs stop people getting a spanner or socket onto the bolt there. Underneath the bar I'm thinking about drilling a hole in the bottom of each M10 mounting bolt and securing them with a small padlock. Not sure if that's enough by itself, or should I weld a vertical steel plate on just behind the bolt on the rear of the bar that makes it difficult/impossible to get bolt cutters onto the padlock?

Well done on the bar Moph! To be honest, I wasn't keen on it to start with, but once it was actually on the car, it really grew on me. As somebody accurately pointed out "the sierra is a square car, so you need a square bar to compliment the design". It looks good!

Realised I never posted a pic of the finished bar. Here 'tis. :)

Lightforce 170's mount on tabs on top of bullbar cross tube, above and just slightly closer together than the XGTs, for country trips. Also drilled a couple of 25mm holes in the mount plates for recovery points.
