they are fine under water not much electronics only a spill valve and timing control
its all well sealed as well
also only low voltage high current (not affected by water as much)not like an efi petrol
they still have mechanical pump and injectors like old school diesel its just controlled by computer for fine tuning and greater efficiency

yes it will stop when the top of the dash goes under water (thats where the computer is) but you have big problems if the water is that deep inside the car

Some markets get basically a STD 200 (like the STD 100 series) with a detuned engine and manual box. Pity not in Oz though...

Is this a single turbo version?
if so is it basically running gear lifted from 70 series with different transfer
does it have IFS?

I'm pretty sure it's the TTV8. Mate was showing me a couple of sites that list the spec and have some video of the car, interior and driving. Google search should help.

tring to find a computer to run one in an 80 with a manual and staying out of limp mode
using the box from a 70series would have been good if it made power
