so i have know idea at the moment, what do u guys reackon?
3.5 rangie gutless????
Do you think a 2.8l diesel slugbox is anymore powerful?? Those things have no grunt at all!
Either rangie / patrol. Dont even consider a hilux.

sounds good mate, the engine conversion is valuable, but harder to work on than an old 3.5.
Seems to have a few extras as well, all good
Take it for a spin, the price seems good and it is only 15min from my house, i might go have a look too
Just Joking about me buying mate

Looks to be a goodun. Good price on it too considering the motor replacement. Go for it and don't even consider a hilux!

Looks good, Disco engine is a big plus - your first job is to hunt
down some cheap shocks and flog thos bilstiens - they are 2" shorter
in travel than any equivalent shock - cause of their gas resevoir.
But that would all be ahead of you - EFI is definately the way to go and they are a good engine to work on

IIRC the injectors are the same anyway - shouldn't matter, check to see if it has 3.9 written on the plenium and has a solid fuel rail that go down to the top of the injectors - if it has 3.5L rail setup it will have small fuel line connecting to the top of each injector with a hose clamp.
Look at what air flow meter it has - should be a lucas 3AM or 5AM
(may have hitachi written on it) make sure it doesn't have a huge old vane flap style meter

I had my first truck insured under my Dads name with me listed as a 50% driver with RACV.
Made it heaps cheaper and i also got a rating.
I just paid the insurance bill.

Because
I would have difficulty believing that they put the 3.9L top end on it and reto-fitted the 3.5L EFI system to it. The hotwire EFI is much better than the Flapper system - they are also easier to fit gas to. The 3.5L injection is in-efficient and they Air Flow Meters don't take kindly to back fires.

There are no mods on it that would require an engineers certificate.
