Cage design
I think you'll find that the stock Wrangler bars aren't classified as roll bars but as sport bars. Do a search on the net there are plenty of examples of how fragile they are in a rollover. yes they protect the passengers somewhat but are generally destroyed in the process.
What sort of wall thickness are the tubes and what type of steel

Ransom note = demand + collage
the front part of my cage is from a Suzuki lwb rear bar and the rest is something else.
Do as I say not as I do
The rest is steel tube suitable for cages bought from a steel merchant for the express purpose of building a cage but I'm not sure of the exact details been a long time since I got it

When you say 'LWB rear bar', do you mean sport bar?
and when you say "the rest" do you mean your Hi-Lift jack rack?
Peter.
ps you still havn't answered the wall thickness question?

1.6mm WT 36mm OD HREW.
The LWB sierra rear hoop is about 38mm OD and 1.8-2.0mm thick.
Its proably ok for an exo in that it will help to protect the cab, and does defect stuff off the winscreen. but in a genuine LJxtreem style rollover it would destroy itself and the cab too I think.
People buy steampipe and RHS "from steel merchants for the express purpose of building a cage" too but it doesn't mean it is the right material.
I use 2.4mm WT Grade 350 44mm OD tube (CDS - cold drawn seamless) now for cages. this is FIA approved rollcage material and is very nice to work with. it is, however, about $27 per metre.
PS I recall this stuff because I welded it together. At the time I did Grimbo's cage, I didn't have a bender or notcher. The LWB rear hoop was out of my sierra.
