i use Simex centipedes MTs, 31x10.5x15 (on XJ Jeep), noisy as hell on road, but off road their shit hot . They're also much cheaper than BFGs, I paid $170 / tyre

hay morks have you tryed balancing your tires on the car cause i had same problem and that fixed it
Also like i said earlier 40000 klm and still only half worn as with coopers on rock the side lugs get ripped off and if you try to claim warranty under 80000klm they tell you that no guarantee if used for offroad so stick with mtrs not real awsome in one area but excelent over wide variaty of terrain

That reminds me, the rock at Ormeau isn't too kind to MTR's. The rock seemed to cut the tread pretty easily, and I lost bits of lug here and there and got cuts through the tread. When they were new, I put a 1inch thick branch through the sidewall pretty easily so they aren't indestructable like I'd hoped.
I thought 20 PSI was low enough pressure, any lower I was worried I was going to ride on the rim with the weight of a GQ on one tyre. Never tried them in sand but I would bet they would be briliant once they lose half their tread.

i run my 35z on 15x8s any where between
20-15 on the front
20-10 on the rear
no bead locks and they work fine for me
i will get some better photos of the tyre bagging around a rock next time
as most of the tsv guys know i hardly ever use the lockers and i go up
and down some pretty narly shit mainly rocks

rocks/short course style events front 20 and rear 10

sand 15 front 10 rear they worked sweet pulled
3rd high and revved out in softish river sand

gravel roads front 25 rear 18 worked sweet

mud ... i don't even bother cause i hate mud ... but they do work ok if u can get them spinning fast enough

only had one sidewall punture and that was a knife like stick it happens
woulda gone through any tyre i reckon


my opinion ... best bang for buck tyre


also .. show me a tyre that doesn't chip, cut or all that on sharp rocks

I just noticed that MTRs are now up to 40 inch......

one thing dissapoints me about this..... they are still only 12.5 inch wide

wats doing there?

would of thought at least 14.5.......

40" MTR is 13.5" wide

ive been searching through tyre sites all night, and all of them that have updated enough to go from 37 to the new 40 inch say they are 40 x 12.5 x R15
