and also it had to be hooked sraight to the battery via a battery cable not wire .So after all this discussion I brought tha Viair 400 he said that matched to a 20L tank it would do all i want and more.BTW i asked weather or not 100% duty cycle was the go and he said that, they are great but slower so i figured that if this will run 33% duty 20mins straight that will do me.At $ 365 including loom and some fittings with a 5 year manufacters quality warrenty too my door i said send it.
I'm probably going to do the same. Did Glenn sound a bit Grimace to you?

The Maxair works out to be 2.54 CFM. Did the price you paid include hoses and fittings etc?
Some ,although I will have to add the ones to hook up the tank.
BTW 2.5 cfm@33% and as tested will do a 35x12.5 from 15-30 in 2 1/4 minutes

Was told buy tjm that kym bolton runs one of these compressor on his GU with no probs (been fully submerged twice and works fine). I was told they do not require oil! Anyone else use one of these compressors? Every where i look someone else has different write up on them. As for no dust or water environment, it is a fully sealed unit and all the fan does is force air over the motor housing to keep it cool, cant see why they say no water or dust?
