Rather than starting a new thread or searching I have been diligently reading through all the OLD threads looking for links relating to turbocharging.

I have just bought a turbo glide kit for my shorty and am looking eagerly for advice/pointers anything with regards to fitting, performance..etc Mine blows a bit of soot at the moment so was thinking of injectors as well I figured this thread would help me.

I get to the last page of this thread which so far has fantastic tech/phone numbers :lol: and find out it is cause of his intercooler pipe.... hahahahah. Stuff like that happens to me all the time...

I like reading old threads it shows you how much you have grown...man that sounds lame. It is like getting in a time machine.. whoa what was I thinking then...

just a quick note on this one ...

i had the injectors done .. and the pump "rebuilt" ;) electric fuel pump
and the turbo hiflowed... was definately good for a giggle

bored of that now tho :| still thinking of selling the ute

what sort of pressure is the electric fuel pump putting to the injector pump and where is it mounted??? do you know what sort of power you are getting??

fuel pump is about 6-7psi
mounted on the battery tray near the injector pump
enough power to smoke 35z in 2nd :finger:

AG Diesel completely rebuilt each of my injectors for $80 each. New springs, nozzles etc. Clean is much less.

Of course, that was with me delivering the injectors to them. They are a bit of a pain to get out. Watch out for the spill tube when removing the injectors. That is the tube with all the donuts on it that connects all of the injectors together. It is very easy to break, particularly if the retaining nuts have been overtorqued at some point.
