id keep an ear and an eye out for that turbo of yours, never knoe what its sucked in while its been disconnected.
what diff ratio has that got and what tyre size? do you know what your pump timing is set to and what is the difference between injectors set for turbo and naturally asperated? i've fitted a safari turbo to my gq with 4.11's and 33's and its only got 88kw.Fathillbilly wrote:just in reference to the turbo stuff I?ve got a turbo and intercooler on my GU which i took of my old GQ TD42, and with the boost compensator @ 14lbs i am getting 113KW at the ground which works out to around 160-170KW at the flywheel and 4500nm of torque at the ground in 4th
have had the injectors done up to suit and the pump has just been tuned up but there are still a few more things that can be done to get more out of these babies.
what sort of pressure is the electric fuel pump putting to the injector pump and where is it mounted??? do you know what sort of power you are getting??Hoonz wrote:just a quick note on this one ...
i had the injectors done .. and the pump "rebuilt"electric fuel pump
and the turbo hiflowed... was definately good for a giggle

AG Diesel completely rebuilt each of my injectors for $80 each. New springs, nozzles etc. Clean is much less.Hoonz wrote:sweet cheers ...
can't be that hard to clean injectors .... pull them apart and soak them in cleaning solvent ..... so I dunno why they would cost $80 each

Of course, that was with me delivering the injectors to them. They are a bit of a pain to get out. Watch out for the spill tube when removing the injectors. That is the tube with all the donuts on it that connects all of the injectors together. It is very easy to break, particularly if the retaining nuts have been overtorqued at some point.
