single point injection runs alot less pressure so maybe not, depends on how the fuel is regulated

almost up and running just some kind of timming problem :?
pump running, injectors going has spark but it sounds like some one is hitting the pistons down with a hammer :bad-words:
but when i use the stand alone spark it runs (when i tip fuel down it's neck ) but injectors stop.
looks like i will have have another look at the ford book ( one thing i have found out is the dizzy turn different ways on the 6cly than the 8cly)

IT'S ALIVE!!! :D :D :D but some strange stuff going on that i need to look at like running abit rich ( could be coolent sensor )
idle controll motor not working
had a timming gun to check timming and had to move all the spark plug leads clockwise one hole.
need to tidy up some wires now and fit some more hose clamps then work on a air cleaner for a road test :D

went for a test drive today but somthing is not right yet as it floods a bit at idle and when driving if you put your foot down more than 10%.
and the idle control motor does not work, must be somthing not connected will also check oxy sensor too
will see what happens tomorrow

will pickup last sensor on sat and will plug that in and start going over all the plugs with a meter and see what happens.
And if all that fails i just might take to the injection system with a large hammer and give it a reprogramming that it won't forget :bad-words: :x

update, I have done away with the idle motor and the throtle position switch and just running on the map sensor and coolent and air temp sensors ( it's running better but still over fueling.
next i am trying to trick the map sensor in thinking it has more vac than is there ( making it put less fuel in i hope )
the air temp and coolent temp sensors i will remove and replace them with resistors so if all goes well it should run on just a map sensor, compter, fuel pump and injectors.
finished moving the big stuff to new house with rangie so will have a look at it over the next few days.

Think I might have shown this before but anyway it's a pic of my P76 with Megasquirt EFI using a GM TBI from a 305 Chev. The reason I went GM TBI was number 1 it was cheap, there are heaps of parts available ex. US, it takes a standard Holley air cleaner (Engine bay looks almost stock), it's easily upgradeable, I could use the factory accelerator cable and it has an inbuilt fuel pressure regulator. I even ran it with the factory mechanical fuel pump using a swirlpot while I was testing!! It also meant that I could swap over to my Carter 4BBL in about 15 minutes if something went wrong. If I was going to do it again though I would just use a standard Chev TBI computer as the only problem I ever had was using the megasquirt, probably because of the low vacuum when using the Wilpower manifold as someone already mentioned. I also had problems because of the injector resistance but thats another story.

i have it running abit better now but still no good on quick reving or under heavy load i was going to install a aftermarket ecu but will be going for something cheaper to run as i can not keep pouring money into my 4x4's as i have a house aswell now (the good old days have gone)

Not an MS , they call it a fuel controller i think, can also get a kit for a hand controller so you can tune on the fly, cant find any other info on it.
