With the way the points system works I am pretty much out of the running anyway unless Pete or Pip don't finish one round and I can't see that happening.

Your saying that like you think there is a better points system? What would you prefer There to be 5 points between each place?

ANYTHING can happen in motor sport!!!!!!! But you have to be there to have a chance. On the other point though i think the points system is about the fairest it could be.

Wouldn't matter wether there was 1,5,10 points between the places the end result is the same.
With a 4 round series unless your in the top three maybe 4 aftyer the first round I can't see how you have a chance unless one of them has a major failure and as they are in the top three that is unlikely.
Personally i think the scoring needs to be staggered so that the differences between places isn't the same.ie 1st 25,2nd 20,3rd 17 etc.

For arguments sake take Pip and I ,he is on 200 I am on 195.
If I win the next three rounds I will be on 795
If Pip comes second in all rounds 797
Third in all rounds 794
Realistically going on current form all three are unlikely

At the end of the day I didn't drive well enough at round one so have only myself to blame for not been in contention for a final 2 position.

probably not a better system, but a more interesting one would be to have place scoring based on how many cars you beat.

if 15 cars compete, first place gets 15 points, second 14 points, down to 1 point for last.
if 6 cars compete, first place gets 6 points, second 5 points, down to 1 point again for last.

i'm sure there are holes in this system as well, but it would at least mean that a comeback is possible for someone that had a bit of bad luck in one round. and the more people that compete in a certain round, means that it is a more competitive round, so more points are on offer.

Very flawed, one round may have a heap of people (say 20) out there just to have a go and muck around with only one or two big guns going at it, the winner from that round would have 20 points.

The next event might only have 5 competitors, but those competitors could be Tracy Jordan, Peter Antunac, Bruce Zeller and PIP. The winner from that round would only have 5 points yet he has probably driven harder and worked harder to only have the same amount of points that he would have got if he came 15th in the previous round.

I honestly can not see anything wrong with the current set-up.

I have 98 points, i need to pick up one point.

So some one in 6th place (95 points) only needs to pick up 4 Points over the next three rounds.

No way I can get to this, even if the buggy is ready...

Have the VP of marketing at work from the US all week, so knock off Friday night @7pm, then 20+hr drive straight = arrive 3pm Saturday...

No can do.

"send it up with someone else"

Sound good... any volunteers?

I just couldn't afford to do it this way at the moment. My buggy project, otherwise known as project vortex because it has sucked every last cent out of me, has left me eating 2 minute noodles every night.

Worth it though!
