I like your sliders, 4x4xmore :P

Do you have dimensions and instructions on how to mount/make them?

thought about that after I made them
I ahd a couple of hour spare and some material laying around at work, so I spent a couple of hours making them before I went out on a run

bsically used 3 mm 50x25 rhs
cut two pieces that went along chassis and clamped them there
cut a piece of 4mm wall pipe to the length that i needed, used a jack to hold it up agains the sill and then measured and cut the angles requiered for it to sit flush against the clamped bits of rhs on the chassis and the pipe. I then tacked it in place , removed the clamps and fully welded,

once welded a quick check to see that they will fit then a quick coat of paint. I then clamped them in place, in the chassis there is already holes straight through so I only had to drill the rhs and then I used 1/2" bolts to bolt them up with large washers on the inside edge of the chassis.

they do the job just fine for now but I will need to make a new set once I do a body lift.

the tip is to make them before you damage your sill

Crikey mate, those 31's look close when the front's compressed.
Are you on full torsion lift?

Jon.

have the torsion bars wound up to compensate for the 2" lift, when compressed like it is in that pic they do scrub pretty hard

body lift will fix that though

Lose the swaybar and you'll get a bit more flex.

Flexin'!

Taken on Sunday, heading down Rocky Trail after a run up Morbid Track. Followed a lifted GQ Patrol on 35's without much of a hassle. Few almost-rolled-it moments, but no major problems :)

just to hog the board a little more  heres a couple of shots of my beastie now it has the soft top on and is FINISHED!! well for this summer anyway ... only long term plans are to weld the front diff and rebuild the LSD as it's got a fair amount of backlash in it. and maybe get rid of that rear bumper..... knock up a set of bars for the front ....... bugger maybe it's not finished after all  :bad-words:

notice the ride height difference between this photo and the one above! as my wife once said it's amaizing what 2" can do

Here in New Zealand the Rear LSD was one of only two factory options that Daihatsu offered at time of purchase, the other being a pretty good PTO winch, out of the 20 odd Ferozas/Rockys around my area mine is the only one with a LSD, unforutantly the clutch packs are starting to wear in mine and there is considable backlash that I will need to look at sometime soon.

I noticed that you have a welded front diff , how are they for driving offroad? im thinking of doing mine but Im worried about how much they cut the steering lock down, as most of 4wding is along windy forestry tracks or on sand dunes

hi there, well the welded diff only comes in to play when you lock in 4wheel drive. When it is not in 4 wheel drive it dose not worry steering its just normal .Locked in it,s fine, it,s a bit heaver to steer but you will notice a big differance in performance in where you can go .Turning is a bit of a three point turn on tight corners but apart from that is is great, do it you will enjoy it.

is that the cheap and nasty plastic garden edging that the warehouse and Kmart sell that you are using for flare extensons??

Fez looks good now that the mods have been done,

a word of advise tho .... DONT hit water holes too fast in Daihatsu's they tend to roll very easy ... was just flicking through our local paper and there was a write up on the front page about 4x4's driving too fast on the beaches .. sure enough there was a photo of an upturned Fez

Local auction site has more than it's fair share of Fez/Rocky rollover up for sale too

keep the pics coming always great to see Fez's in action
cheers Meece
