Guts wrote: What sort of ball coupling are you using? the old ball bolted to the floor of the tub? Can also use a turn table like a semi but setup up side down so the turn table is on the trailer and not the truck. Then the truck just has a pin on it that can be folded down out of the way when not in use.
Dont you have to have a hr licience if you tow with a turntable but if you two with a ball it's the same as a trailer?
Licence goes off the vehicle pulling the trailer....
So if you have any type of utility vehicle, then it applys to that tow vehicle.
A Current F350 would only require an LR to pull this trailer. Again it is not a Prime Mover.
Daisy wrote:looks like you can fit two buggies (at the back) - one under and one on top judging by the height of that !!
It is 2.4m ID Height & 2.4m Width
Won't fit them on top of each other..
I can fit two buggies level now I worked out tonight.
I can fit my buggy & Sean's ( Crazy Eyes ) but the tyres that are against each other will have to sit inside outside of each other.

Have you asked the RTA Pete?
We have had a 5th wheel horse float since 1985 and they still can't decide if its HR lic or just normal car lic. My old man ended up just getting a HR lic just in case the police think its meant to be HR. Maybe in the last few years they have cleaned up the gray area 5th wheelers used to be

I have verified it with the RTA & DOT....
If what you are saying was correct you would need a HC Lic...
But as per them your not.
Found this if the tow rig is under 4.5 gvm you can tow anything as long as it is not more than 19 meters or 63.3 feet long vechicle and trailer so on a 5th wheel you would gain some space with the 5th wheel overhang on the tow vehicle http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/ ... ailers.pdf
It is a top looking 5th wheel though should be a nice trailer for advertising
not exactly wait you want but the best i can do to prove at this time, take a look here www.chockstone.org/Gallery/YouYangsPics.htm - 19k our comp site is near the back ground of one of the pics down the bottom of the page

What does a heavy rigid license have to do with an Articulated vehicle?
Well I'm guessing that they didn't think everyone would carry on like a big bunch of sooky girls over it like they have........
