Hi Guys

I rang Shayrn and pulled out today, car #45. Adam and AL. My dad had a stroke on Thursday and I am now looking after him. He is doing well and recovering.
I hope everyone has a ball.

Neil and Ellis (Scottish chaps) came round yesterday for a lesson on the GPS before they leave on Friday. Ellis is getting the hang of the Garmin but I don't think Neil can even switch it on! Nothing like last minute..... :P

Hope you all have a ball this year chaps and all the best.

Steph and I won't get there until early Sat. morning, (Steph is working Friday) though we are marshalling this year, so we don't have to worry about the stress of preparation and the cost of damage :D .

On a side note, I may be able to pick things up Friday and bring them up for people if required......... you know all those little things you forget or go wrong.

Catch every one there.

Not looking good for the UK vehicles at the moment, been told this morning they may not arrive in Sydney until 15th May. Really frustrating after sending them a week earlier than last time it's taken them 3 weeks longer to get them there.

We're all hoping it's just a miscommunication, every time we talk to the shipper about anything they move the ETA back a few more days.

omg that is really not good news guys.....Eugene works in the industry and can sympathise.
Don't give up hope tho.....even if u get to BH late I'm sure you'll be able to compete.
The year my auto g/box packed up in the BH Motel, they did everything to get me going.....

So hang in there......

Also if there's anything we can do to help b4 we leave, do please just ask...we at this stage intend leaving early Wed morning (14th). The rest of the Syd guys are convoying up on Thurs.....
Cheers and good luck,

Hey Mal
Are the containers here yet and the problem is with the docks, or have they just not arrived yet ?
How are they getting the cars from Sydney to Broken Hill ?

The boat was meant to arrive on the 5th,then delayed to the 10th & now not due in till the morning of the 15th.The agent i got them is right on the ball and all going well they will have them on Friday Afternoon.

They will then drive them to BH and be ready(cause we will all,do what ever it takes)for competition

I have spoken to Paul & he is aware of the situation and everything will be done so they compete
