I would still forward the email to the boss. If it's his dad then he might get a hiding or at least no dessert for it
Regardless of who's fault it is that type of attitude in an email to a customer sux balls tremendously.

Everyone has vented, got it of the chest, sorted out their problems, been though Outers councilling and moved on.
The punch up was on a few days ago.

One monitor was also damaged when I had just taken a sip of coffee then laughed a bit to much I managed to spray it across the desk onto my monitor after reading the "I would punch em up" reply.
