The file has been exported and the VCD was handed over to Croz last nite. He's looking into co$t$ etc today I believe...
Its kinda disappointing - the VCD is a little jumpy here and there and there are times (esp. when trucks are moving fast or when I have added extra graphics) when the screen goes a little grainy. But I reccon that is pretty unavoidable when shrinking a 10-15 gig file to 600meg....
Hopefully you folks will enjoy it regardless.

they're having compression issues.... crunching 40gig down to around 500mb is a pretty big ask
how long is it chris? is there stuff u can cut outta it? ur average ripped DVD (2hrs) is only a couple of gig... why's it so big?

Lads and lasses.
We have tried and tried to get it sorted and I think it has been done. Chris has been trying to export it to CD with a cool intro and some bonus bits that were only available on the Autralian release

.
This has not really worked, it seems that the extra memory is screwing the vid, so we are going to distribute the original without the introduction but with good visuals...
Dont forget, making this video fit on a CD not a DVD requires the computer to compress 40GB of info into about 500MB, thats pretty damn huge.
So if you would like a copy please email me and will get one under way to you.
Croz.

why's it so big?
After the day i had about 50mins of raw footage. When you stream the digital video onto computer rule of thumb is 5 mins of footage takes up 1 gig. So that was about 10gig for just the footage.
Then the program required me to add extra audio clips (the soundtrack) in .WAV format (which isn't particularly small) & when you get the vid you'll notice I used quite a lot of soundtrack. (plus the added titles here and there & the editing itself takes up space) I ended up looking at a massive file......
All in all 32mins 20 secs (from memory)
Hope you all enjoy !!!!!!!!
