(finally realising there is no "best" of anything after 4 pages)
As stated before, only what suits YOUR specifications (weight, terrain, comfort, articulation) and YOUR pocket.
There will be people that have good and bad things to say about anything and everything. They are generally the ones like you that have tried to make a decision by polling other people, regardless of the fact that other people have differeing needs/requirements to you, and will be almost guaranteed a poor personal result based on that.
Constructive criticism. No more polls/votes/"what is the best" posts. You surely now can see the lack of worth of them.

DAMKIA:
i knew i was never going to get a magical answer with someone telling me a bad that blows everything else out of the water.
I always knew there is no best basically no matter what you buy, all i was looking for was some advise and opinions on different brands for people that have used the product first-hand. Which is what ive recieved since opening this thread, apart for the bitching and takeing piss out of each other lol
Whats helped me make my mind up apart from all the great adive from here was that ive been talking to the boss at opposite lock where i live, really nice guy and has helped me out alot, he also gave me the number for one of the tough dog mangers to give him a call and yes i realise his opinion is going to be bit bias towards the dogs.....

From my experience, koni and bilstien seem to make the best allrounder shocks. Lovells, Dobinson, OME, King seem to make the best all rounder springs.
Tough Dog and Rancho have the best advertising. Never used TD, but never heard a great report from those who have. Rancho, all i can say is Crapola

I have been honestly trying to help you, but now you're starting to frustrate me too.
As I said in one of my previous posts, GO TO A SUSPENSION SHOP AND TELL THEM WHAT YOU DO WITH YOUR VEHICLE AND WHAT ACCESSORIES ARE ON IT. They will be able to tailor a package to suit your needs.
Forget about what "Brands" they are and talk to the bloke at the store as you will most likely find that they will mix and match brands to give you the best of each that will suit your needs...
