no offence to anyone of you magnificant drivers but the drive of the weekend for me would have to have been fester in the final of the all terrain...he got air from like a 1 metre run up....that takes nuts... i was there and had a great time watching drunken, stoned and some just crazy people push there cars as hard as they could. i didnt see an undamaged competitor car by the end.

oh and for that matter there were just as many rolled, battered, bogged, flooded and just plain rooted cars from people driving shite that they now realise they shouldnt have...

al i can say now is

R E S T E C P respect

good on alben and the whole organisational team for the great weekend

oh and beebee your car has a wicked turbo lean (it leans so bad to the right side...)

No Offence taken at all untill i read this. I would be very suprised and greatly disapointed if any single competitor was either drunk or Stoned while competing. If anyone were to be hurt while competing and it was found the driver was under the influence then it would more than likely be the end of competitions at LCMP or anywhere for that matter.

What were spectators opinions on this event? Was it great or what? Were the viewing areas good enough and how about how well the action flowed. The orginisers are looking for feedback on this so they know what to try and improve for the next one. Which by the way is in less then 6 weeks now.

As a Competitor i had a great time. Although i would have liked a few more runs on the course before the final i still enjoyed myself. This event to me was very similare to woodpecker. Mainly because of how fast the course was. It realy was a great event and i hope with all the feedback that has come from the Competitors it will be an even better event in June.

:? It's a hilux thing :D

I'll be there at the next round. However the tyres that I used this round are currently being fitted up to Norm Walter's truck for the Outback Challenge - so anyone want to lend me some tyres?

If it were not the week before We Rock at Bathurst i wouldnt miss it for the world. BUT. It is the Week before Bathurst so will have to see what happens. I would realy like to but its a huge risk if i was to come out with a heap of damage. I then have no time to either inspect or repair any damage from this event.

WERock is what im working towards at the moment. But if its ready to go before this event and im confident that it will hold up through both events then i will be there. But i doubt i will drive as hard as i did the past weekend.

OOHHHH don't be such a skirt. Get there and give it a really good go. I am sure everyone will appriciate you turning up again and putting it on for the crowd. I think your rig will be fine, as long as you go really really fast and bounce the wheels heaps you should win!

If i had a rig i would defently be there even if WEROCK is the next weekend.

Come on guys lets get behind RUFF and get him up there to defend his crown!!

i didnt mean the competitors were drunk, i meant the spectators... id be scared if you can drive that good while DUI.

the viewing areas were good enough for everyone to see, except the all terrain which you cant help as it was full up top in the viewing areas and people started to migrate down the far side of the hill, where i got to see some of the shit scared look on some drivers faces as they hit the "bigger than it looks" rock. other then that the only complaint again cant be helped and that is that the events overlapped too much and you would always miss the particular car you really wanted to see (i really luv big reds car and i wanted to see it do the all terrain but i also wanted to watch the little turbo fez go round the mud purskuit.)

so yeah it was a bloddy good event
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

Ruff,

The All Terrain Challenge was great (as was the entire weekend). As far as spectating, the viewing is not the best with such a large crowd. The viewing would be better from the bottom looking up, rather than the other way round. But, I don't know how you fix this without clearing the gully opposite the arena.

It probaly won't be as bad at round 2, as I expect the crowds won't be as big (round 1 would have been bigger because of the whole "expo" thing).

One very good point - the speed at which vehicles are recovered once stopped. It would appear that the organisers had both the competitors AND the spectators interests in mind. A fast games's a good game!!

I'll be there spectaing round 2, so I guess we'll wait and see.
