How do soft tops handle the hail?

Never had to deal with it in nth qld, but moving south , so concerned.

light hail would be better since it would just bounce off i belive but hard hail will cut right through it

Mine has been hailed on a few times, handled it okay. keep in mind my panels are already pretty average from rock rash etc, but there was not noticable extra damage after that hail storm that smashed Newy a little while ago.

more likely to get hail in SE QLD then Melbourne.
Normal hail shouldn't do any damage, unless your windows are very old and brittle. Larger hail will be more likely to damage it but then your panel work will be in just as must danger of damage

yeah , didnt know it was more likely up in qld, um, guess worried more about soft top, and how it handles, having hail, i guess things the size of golf balls, would go straight thru. i Heard if you cover car in blankets it stops some of it, is that right?
Pannels, if they get dented then so be it. tempting to get it fully insured and leave it in a storm.
