New tailgate

Old tailgate went bung from too big a tyre hanging off of and it had started ripping in half.
I built a new one from mostly 50x25mm rhs tube, one bit of 75x50 rhs where the hinges attach, and the latch brace from the old tailgate.
I then covered it in 395x1120mmx 2.1mm alloy treadplate. I had the metal work place fold the top lip over (cost for alloy and fold $20, $6 for other metal)
Beats a wreckers price of $150 for an OK one (little bit of rust), or $200 for a good one.
It looks BLING, and is 2kg lighter and stronger than the orig one (not including the spare tyre bracket in either weight) ... best thing poofters behind me who can't find low beam fry their own eyes!!
