Hi,
I have a nh swb pajero with 31x10.50 R15 tyres and want to upgrade to 285 75 16. the truck has a 4cm suspension lift. Should I install a body lift?
Thank you and regards.

I don't think you'll fit those tyres without a body lift. I have that size tyres, with a 50mm body lift.

Cheers,

Scott

firstly, awesome looking paj,

i dont really think youll need it, especially being a base model without the fiberglass flares.

mines the same, and only about a 40mm lift too, iv got 33" tyres, roughly the same size as a 285/75/16, and iv had up to a 33" JT2, actual size the same as most 35" tyres.

iv got no bodylift and never seen the need for one, iv got a set of ally blocks i had machined up at work, cos it was free bar, and everything else is there, and i just dont think i need it. Maybe if i had sliders and i could be bothered i might do it, but even then i think id get machined down again to about 30mm rather than 50mm that it is now,

in others words, get landcruiser offset rims and you wont need the bodylift :D

dean, ;)

Doesn't the turbo diesel have a factory body lift? it looks higher than my nh shorty with 40mm lift (3l v6).

Tis interesting. It has a bonnet off a 2.8 on it. (the 2.5's didn't come with a bonnet scoop)

And the writing on the side indicates is a 2.5. I'd say it's had a lift of some description.

The last 2.5s that mitsubishi sold in Spain had a bonnet scoop like 2.8 ones, don´t know why.
