FLEXI FLARES *&^*&*^&** THINGS !!!!

I bought some lexi flares today what a bloody nightmare of a job the seem the spring nearly took my eye out ,i think it will be quicker to build the fibreglass ones.

Just feed some fencing wire through it.

Nope put it back in the box till i have more patience . i thought there were 4 arches you screwed them on and trimmed off excess.

It's much easier if you file down the tip of the wire to a bullet shaped point. Then squirt inox or similar in the hole until it drips out the other end of the flare (use the little tube attachment), and dip the wire in oil (even poke down the dip stick if you don't have a bottle lying around!). This will make it too slippery for hands but use multigrips and get a mate to wiggle the flare around where it's trying to go around the sharper parts of the curve.
Between corners drink about it...

tryed lining up the existing holes but the seem to far in past the lip on the flares.

I just put a straightened out coat hanger wire through each of mine. Didn't come with spring or anything

Put the tube nozzle on the CRC and spray up the hole until it comes out the other side.
Take the egdes off the end of the wire and it will then just slide it.
PS put the wire in after srewing the flares to the car

baby oil works really good to help the wire, helped a mate not long ago, the wire went in easy,
i know what your saying about being the wire being a nightmare

The best way i have found to get the wire through is to put a air nozzel on one end of the flares and feed wire through from other end. Works a treat.

he screwed the flares on put inow grease in where the wire goes and slid it in,then trimmed .
