Will be doing the X-90 3" body lift soon and as they are just a Vit, who else on here has done a 3" bodylift and how did you go about extending the steering gear?

Thanks SiKid_01

- any chance of getting hold of one of those machined extender blocks?
Ok... who knows the diameter of the fuel filler hose? Can I extend it the same way as the Jimny - cut it, insert a section of exhaust (diameter?) and hose-clamp it top and bottom?
Anyone done a body-lift with a t-bar auto? How do I get the auto console to realign and lock in?
Maaaaaaan.... manual Jimnys with solid axles are easy

Huh? The auto is cable operated. Why do you need to do anything with it?

my machined steering extension was a one off thing, as i couldn't find anywhere that already made one for vits, and the length of it wasn't certain.
vits have two shaft lengths, one is a lot shorter with a rag joint, the longer one is a solid one piece. some people have drilled out the little hole in the shaft and pushed the shaft in. i think its the collapsible thingy, i'm not sure, but i couldn't get my 3" BL engineered with out a steering shaft extension.
under the drivers side foot well, there should be 2 brake lines from the body to the chassis. these will need to be extended, depending on whether you want to disconnect them every time you put in or remove a BL.
fuel filler hose is maybe 50mm i think, or close.
i can't remember much else. you should do a tank lift too while you're at it.

I'm auto illiterate

this is the very first auto I've ever owned or bothered to find out how they work... still can't get used to that little dude in the box changing gears for me
