Yep after a few months of sorting things out and stuff and all the rest of it my project is 99% done will be ready tuesday after the exhaust is fitted and then dyno'd :D

I can't bloody wait really haven't taken any shortcuts and will make up a list soon of all the things i needed to get..

Here are some pics.. :D

One thing can anyone spot the BOV might have to ask them what they did with the one i gave them to fit as it needs one ..(it's non rice too big ports so no pssshhhhtt noise) :)

Looks to be a nice, neat install (apart from all the hoses but I know there is no avoiding that).

Hope it goes as well as it looks.

turbo apears to have no waste gate n i cant see BOV so looks like you will have major over booste problems but i could b wrong. I was recomended 48mm or 50mm external gate for a tb42 turbo on petrol i would assume it would b the same for gas

There is a wastegate. It's an external one under manifold.

Rick,

I would recommend you fit an airbox later on as under bonnet temps are high and you will be drawing in hot air with the pod filter. You need an airbox with the intake vented so you are drawing cold air from outside the engine bay.

Cheers guys

I have a 50mm external wastegate you can see it in the 1st pic.

Raptor i'm trying to work out if i should either buy a

http://www.knfilters.com/universal/apollo.htm

or try and mod some other type of air box or something..

Did you mod a air box or something if you did could u post up some pics of it and how u went for getting cold air or u get it from the wheel arch still?

Cheers

Rick..

I'm running a Gas Research throttle body with a B2 conveter and i have to question the BOV as it was supplied for them to fit but they didn't fit it so i'll be asking on monday.

It isn't a Modded turbo off something else, it is a new kit.

Are you going to intercool it down the track Rick?
Congrats on a great job, I hope it gives you the power you want.

How many o's in, I'm drooling.

Nice. Will await how it performs.

Awesome. Hopefully my engine bay will look something like that one day :)'' <--Drool

Keep us up to date on how it performs. Also costs, specs and equipment needed would be good

As for airbox, that K&N looks good, but ask someone who knows turbos. Another option could be a TB42e airbox, might fit. I'd definately run a snorkel to get your outside cooler air, and you can go in water still.

Looks good.

Where did you get the kit from?

I take it that it is on straight gas now?

How much power are you expecting? I want to do mine to get some decent power for hills and overtaking but all my other projects take all my money and I dont really want to run straight gas. I like having dual fuel.

Let us know the results after it goes on the dyno.

Thanks alot guys

Yes it will be staright gas. Going to try fit a small gas tank under the side were my fuel tank is.

I'm aimming for 150kw as i have no idea how hard it will go.

Will get some prices up with a list of things i did also..

be careful with the pod filter that close to the turbo, ive seen a cheaper one break up due to heat and destroy a near new turbo

Must have been very cheap, or tuned badly. I regularly use Simota ones, and they work quite well, attached directly to the turbo.

the cheaper pod filters will actually say "not intended for turbo use" or something similar.. if you use one, you'll pull the metal cap inside the cone of the pod and it will go straight through your turbo

Cheers bud i'm going to look at a better one now ! I just don't want to see something happen to the turbo as i'm only just turned 19 and don't have money pooring out my ears but don't mind spending it to prevent something or spending it on something that will benfiet something.. i hate replacing things due to something shit..

Thanks

Rick.

Very nice!!

Where is your turbo getting oil from? The line seems to go over the top of the engine to the other side.

Also in the first pick where does that blue hose just after the air filter go??

the oil comes from my oil sender on the side of my block and i have a T piece and my new oil sender for my speco gauge goes in there.

The blue hose goes to my catch can ..

Chapmans fitted up my GRA and are doing the tunning..

I did install the turbo catch can alot of the other bits

Spoke to them this morning then will fit the blow off valve for me as they didn't see it in the box with all the other bits so they will be fitted wednesday as the 3" exhaust is going on today and tommrow he had a little trouble today with it becuase i asked if a flexiable pipe can be added to the wastegate pipe so that it won't crack from the heat being so low down from water or something..

I fitted up the MSD wasn't that hard and mounted the box on my firewall and just used a boat trailer wire to run to the coil as that has the right size wire and like 8 different colours etc and looks neat.

Deciding wether or not to run a muffler or not as they kinda started it last friday and becuase it wasn't tunned it wouldn't completley start but it wasn't very loud at all.. So i have be given the option tommorw to go down and try 3 different mufflers loud medium and quite one so i'll see how i go.. If it's to quiet might just run a straight thru or just a resiantior..

Rick. :D

Can't bloody wait now !! :D
