Factory alarm?

Farkin' insurance companies! :bad-words:

Got my renewal from TCIS, and (yet again) they've changed the underwriter. This time, it's some mob called "Vigil" who tell me their records show my model Pajero (1994 build NJ GLS) came with a factory alarm, and it must remain working for continued theft coverage.

Before I call and tell them their records are farked, I thought I'd check if ANY NJs came with factory fitted alarm. Did the Exceed? Did it get added later in the model run (NJ went through to early '97?)

Any info will be appreciated,

Scott

Our NJ comes with a remote (factory) for the central locking but no alarm or siren in sight, and I've done a bit of wiring and playing with it. We thinks they have got it real wrong!!!!!!!!

Yeah I think thats right - higher spec later model NJ's came with factory remote (keyless) entry (linked to the central locking) but no immobiliser.
I'm sure the factory fitted immobilisers weren't available until the NL model.
