is there such a thing as left and right side leaf packs as my truck sits \ i have checked the lenght and the camber it is the same so what goes the reason i ask is that i replaced the top leaf on one pack and when i put it back together i just put the packs on whatever side. lend me your knowledge YAWL

Does your rig have a 'pimp' lean

There is a difference in the spring perches on the diff housing - the passenger side is mounted on the flat of the diff, the driver's side is mounted partially on the pumpkin, so the driver's side is around 10-12mm higher. Some spring packs compensate for this by making the passenger side slightly taller, so the vehicle sits level when there is the minimum load in it (ie driver, full tank of fuel)

Even in coil spring rigs this is the case, with different drivers and passenger rates/lengths to compensate for load balance anomalies.

have a look next time you see a lux parked. most of em sag on the drivers side due to having more weight with steering components, fuel tank etc. i think it must be a lux thing.
alot of people put an extra leaf in the pack around 200mm should do the trick.

Whats wrong with the pimp lean?

I dont mind the P.I.M.P lean but all the effort to see if they are on the wrong side i can do without as im on abit of a roll putting it together since it was painted i always hated JIGSAWS

like area54 said some springs r slightly higher 4 the passenger side but they still tend to sit lower on the drivers side due to the tank, battery, driver, engine torque etc, so i normally put the slighl higher set pack on the driver side so wen no-1 in it it sits a bit high on drivers side but wen the driver in it it sits bout level
