I am looking at buying a Patrol GQ (or Maverick) or Landcruiser 75 ute. I am looking for one that is dual fuel.

What is the difference between a GQ Patrol ute and a Maverick ute? Petrol versions.

The mavericks seem to be cheaper. Maybe it is just like the Lexcen and the VN/VP commodores where they are identical appart from a few external features.

Anyhow if anyone knows please post em up.

The mav is just a rebadged nissan, as a mate of mine has a maverick shorty is identical to my patrol, just maverick badges instead of nissan, correct me if i'm wrong.

it all depends on what you want to do,
i was enquiring about a body swap on mine from shorty to ute.the ute cab HAD to be a mav because it has to be the same as what was OE ie same make etc,
parts are all interchangable, if you look even down to wiper arm to the little bracket that holds the dash in,there all stamped nissan!

How ever i the diff ratios in the mavericks were more of a lucky dip

the maverick is just a wanna-be patrol, they are identical in a ways except for the badges.

a mate pulled all the badges off his mav coz he didnt wanna drivea ford, and when he traded it in he got the price of a trol for it, aout 3k more, smart boy!
