One piece shaft is a realistic solution. However they dont chew out for no reason. Its generally caused by a bad uni joint or out-of-balance shaft. Do you have any vibrations? is it lifted? if so whats the pinion angle like?

Best thing I ever did was fit a one piece shaft, and the cost to get one made up using the original uni's and yokes was only $130. When you replace the centre bearing It would cost $90 just for the part and will only fail within 3-6 months.
They are only there to take vibration out and with a one piece you can't notice the differance, it is only a Hilux after al.l

I would have-to agree with muddylux, good advice. Only thing is
that I've had mine lifted (drivetrain, springs) 3 inches for 2 to 3
years and never replaced a centre bearing and it's as smooth
as silk..........go figure!

The el cheapo only last about 4 month, genuine Toyota last alot longer but you pay for them
I have been fitting one piece shafts on all my conversions for about 18 years now

Thats it don't piss around as with the lift it put's to much angle on them i also run a Double cardin in my rear shaft think it's supposed to help with uni wear/angle they run at.
As soon as we lifted mates lux 2in about a week later it started floging out it's soon to be a 1 peice shaft
