G'Day all

I had my Auto box rebuilt about 3 years ago now, it's done another 80,000 in that time. I have been looking at the Torque Converter Lock Up kit sold on the net. I have a few questions for those who have bought the kit:

- Does it have any effects on Fuel Economy or Longevity of the Transmission
- Does it have any negative effects on the life of the Torque Converter
- I understand that, in the GQ's it can't be used in 1st or Reverse, is this true?
- What's the shift quality like with the Torque Converter locked

Thanks for the info guys! :D

OK, I have one fitted to my GQ, havn't noticed much of a diff in fuel economy. Temp has dropped in the auto. It doesn't work in 1st or reverse without a valve body mod. The shifts are harsh if you leave it locked and it will shudder like hell as you pull up to a stop. I basically only use mine on the highway, works brilliantly and prevents the annoying up, down shifts that you get when climbing some hills.
