Agreed, just drain as much out as you can, and fill it with petrol. A little bit of diesel going through a petrol motor isnt as bad as a little bit of petrol going through a diesel.

I agree with what has been said to some extent

IS it a new engine in the car?

Why are you using a diesel tank?

The only reason I ask is that the extra lubrication from the diesel could affect breaking in a new motor?

If this is the case I will explain more

Drain diesel, then pour in a few litres of metho, then train that.

Metho will dilute (and remove) any diesel or water that is in the bottom of the tank.

Just drain and refill with Petrol. The smear left around tank will be 1/1,000,000 and wont do bugger all even if it would which I doubt
