Gday people,
I was just reading an old post that was recently bought to my attention regarding Jeremy's Surf. We think it is only fair to the public that we tell our side of the story. As you may know we have only been around since July this year, 2 weeks after opening we were still setting up and i was emailed by jeremy asking if i could do a solid axle conversion with our coilovers. I told him that we would prefer to do it on one of our own cars first for testing reasons. Jeremy begged to be the first and not knowing whether to turn away business I made him aware of the complications as a test vehicle. The deal was to fit a solid axle and coilovers to the front of his surf. Because he was desperate and agreed to be the test car we agreed on a low price of about $3500. I said i would fit the rear springs and shocks for him for free just to help him out. The time was estimated as a few weeks.
A few weeks passed and we were making progress but due to the experimental nature it was taking longer than we thought. After 6 weeks we had the car on the road and were driving it, this is where the testing began. We had some problems to sort out getting the car to drive well on road so we tried a few different setups and eventually sorted out all of the bugs and the front was up to our standard. The rear springs which we agreed to fit ended up being droped off by jeremy and were 6 inches longer than standard. Obviously this involved a lot of work but I did not complain and still fitted them, I told Jeremy that the car would never drive well with standard arms in the rear but he could not afford to have us change them so I had to leave them. He wanted me to let him take the car and i made it clear that it wasn't ready and shouldnt be engineered until the rear was done. He persisted and I let him take it even though he was aware that i wasnt happy with the way it drove.
During this time I received phone calls from Jeremy everyday for many weeks I was nothing but nice to him and did my best to help him out. As for doing other cars when his car was in there we had to get some jobs out to pay the bills. We did 5 weeks work solid on Jeremys car alone.

We pride ourselves in top quality work and if anyone would like to see the quality of our work then they are welcome to come down to the workshop anytime and have a chat.

Don't stress it mate you get that type of shit no matter what game you are in. i'am shore you do good work but you cant please everyone,specilaly if they want it done there and then without testing...don't no the full story,is he bleeding about the job you done..

And as for our shackles we have shackles which utilise a crush tube and we havent found anyone who wants to pay the price for them. Ours are the same setup as any other extended shackle available. From what we know ours are the only ones which are made in Australia.

When used properly Nyloc nuts will not come loose. Our shackles are an optimised design from 10mm steel and if fitted correctly will not break and will serve there purpose. Cutting and re welding is strongly advised against as will gain nothing.

In Blair's case we take responsibility for failing to supply fitting instrauctions and we offered him a full refund.

As always it only takes one unhappy customer to ruin a businuss but hundreds of happy ones to make a businuss. I have learnt to only listen to half of what you hear about businuss dealings and from the people i know personaly that have dealt with the guys from CHAOS they have been more than happy with the work they have performed and the service they have received.
I have contacted the guys myself also about a few items and have allways had my Email Questions answered ASAP and they have been very helpfull and fantastic on there prices.

Where are you situated,what type of work do you do....coils,leaf.....a bit of everything....fill me in,havent heard of you before,sounds like Ruff and the boy have....would like to no more?????

Well, thanks for your kind words,
we are a workshop located in Sydney and we specialise in modifying 4x4's for the more extreme end of the market. Like most of you guys we believe that the internet is a valuable tool and we have a website with most of our stuff on it. Unfortunately we have been so busy during our first year of business that we have had little time to go online on the forums or even update our website, but hopefully we will be updating the site soon.

As i said to you on the phone on thursday afternoon you had every right to be annoyed at me for publicly stating what happened with my car at Chaos.
BUT nothing i said in that post was a lie, harsh yes but all the truth. For you to come on here and change the story to try and save face, is low.

It's very tempting to quote pretty much every single scentance you wrote and give examples and reasons as to why what you have said is not true.

But i simply cannot be bothered, if anyone on here now thinks i'm a wanker and an arsehole good for you, but i know, and anyone that knows me, knows the real story. Have a nice day. Jeremy

this is not a medium to debate our differences, nor is it the place

to ventilate these matters.

you should consider your words more carefully before making a post

to a public forum that could potentially defame myself and more

importantly my business.

i dont appreciate your comments and im sure the readers and

administrators of this list dont either.

I have deleted the last 3 replies to this thread not because they were out of line or anything but because this is a prob bettween Jeremy and the guys at CHAOS 4x4. I beleive it has been delt with and hope there is no more heard about this. Good luck to both the guys at CHAOS and Jeremy in your future dealings and i hope you can sort this out without to many hassels.
