it cost me $000,000.00
the basket, track mounts and racks etc where an under the counter jobbie, and installation was easy as drilling holes in my roof!
i think the basket retails around $250 was a prototype and i think they're still on back order due to manufacturing issues or something...............

Hi,

I've got the same model Vitara, and I was wondering where you passed your wiring for the driving lights thru into the cabin/engine bay?

I was considering running them down beside the windscreen, as I don't want to have to pass them thru window rubbers or whatever. I also want to run a roof-mounted UHF antenna, so coax will have to go there as well.

Regards,

Adam

mmmmmm, the lights aren't hard wired yet as i'm still sorting out power distribution & fuses, have got a neat fuse block that takes the clear top auto fuses found in most modern cars that has on major 60amp power feed in and splits it into 4 fused outputs. the lights are cable tied on atm because im still toying around with them reguarding postion might even run them as side lights of the side of the basket depending on light spread. but i reckon you should be able to run the wire down each rubber trim that runs front to back into the engine bay

When you get some info/price/who sells them post it up, I need a way of fitting more gear in the Vit.

rosie 30x9.5 MTR's fit fine no scrubbing with the Calmini 3" lift.

atari4x4 how did you fit the rear spare MTR without hitting the rear bumper?

the roof basket is a rola "VORTEX" & this is all i can find reguarding prices.
mine is a 2 peice unit that joins in the middle, now they are being fully welded.
mine was way cheaper than that too.
