Outer Limits 4x4 Board

i have put a 1600 into my sierra, engine runs perfect but i have an issue with the starte motor.

i used an adapter plate, bolted the 1.3 starter in ( i grinded off some of the starter to fit....) bolts up fine... started the car up and it makes an awfull crunch sound, like the gears are meshing... i then took that starter out and put another in... same problem... what could it be??

could it be that the adapter plate is wrong or on slightly off center??

Did u put another 1,3 starter in or a 1,6 one? There is two different ones with either a short or long nose i believe.

did the person who sold the adapter plate say what one to use?
