Outer Limits 4x4 Board

G'day,

wanting to fit larger tyres on my vitara but trying to keep all mods legal for insurance purposes. Are their any engineers in the greater brisbane area that could ok this kind of mod (legally).

Also does anyone know of anyone who would be able to fabricate a larger or auxilliary fuel tank for a LWB 94' Vitara

In Qld you can only increase tyre diameter by a small amount, can't remember off hand, either 15 or 25mm. Over this you can not get approved. Doesn't matter want an engineer says Qld Trans don't care, it will be outside the lines therefore illegal and unroadworthy. Insurance wise is a very grey area, if you have a picky insurance company they will turn their back on you.

As for the tank, try On Track they will either be able to or know who will.
